One of the things that I love most about the "In and Out" project is the oportunity to collaborate with other artists, sometimes it's longtime friends that I have been admiring their work and sometimes it's strangers that I've been following for a while. When I invite to collaborate people that I still haven't met, there's always a small moment of nervousness and hoping that the other person will like your work too. That's why I was so excited when I received Olimpia Zagnoli's positive answer, she's our new guest to decorate the twelfth edition. And what made me even happier is that she confessed to have been following Après ski for some time and had one of our necklaces already.
Olimpia's illustrations have a pop touch, with simple lines and graphic shapes in bright colours and they have already appeared in such impressive pages as The New Yorker and The New York Times. Aside from sharing a love for round frames, we also share the love for taking a vintage inspiration to create a modern piece.
This time, Olimpia has turned our little box into a sea of maroon and yellow stripes in which a swimmer is relaxing among the waves. We hope you love it as much as we do!
